The volcanic eruption struck with devastating force, ravaging entire cities in its path. Buildings shattered like fragile toys, and the screams that ensued was deafening. Thousands were buried beneath rubble, their fate uncertain. The magnitude of the disaster was unprecedented, leaving survivors to grapple a future forever changed.
Rescue operations sprang into action, fighting against time and hazardous conditions to rescue those still trapped. The nations watched in horror as the full magnitude of the disaster revealed itself, offering prayers to the affected population.
Awful Day Ever
It all started with my case of terrible hair. I couldn't do it to look presentable. As I was running out the door, I fell and dropped my lunch all over my new shoes. To make matters worse, I was extremely running behind for school.

By the time I reached my destination, I was utterly defeated. This day, this terrible day will be forever remembered as the worst day ever.

It all started out horribly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then things went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to run away and hide.
